Sponsor Behind the MASK: Z-Trip
As the largest transportation services company in the nation, SuperShuttle provides door-to-door airport service for more than 8 million passengers a year. The company has a fleet of approximately 1,200 vans that provide service to and from 39 airports and more than 50 cities. In addition, SuperShuttle’s 24-hour call centers and online reservation system receive and process thousands of customer reservations a day.
The company also offers ExecuCar, a personal sedan service, and zTrip, a smartphone app that allows customers to book ground transportation in nearly 50 cities 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
As executive vice president of operations of SuperShuttle, Dave Bird is responsible for making sure the company’s day-to-day operations run smoothly—which is no small task. But at home, Bird is faced with an even more challenging job: raising his three daughters to be healthy, safe and successful.
“There are so many challenges in being a parent today, especially when you’re trying to juggle hectic schedules, school work and friends along with them,” he says.
With society constantly changing, Bird says being connected is a building block that ultimately shapes young people’s interests and decision-making. And while family connectivity is extremely important, so, too, is the connection businesses and organizations have with their community.
“We support MASK because of the benefits the organization delivers to parents and children,” he says. “Being involved personally on the Leaders of Distinction Advisory Panel is also a tremendous honor. The work being done at this level will pay off for many years to come.”
