Fentanyl and Spice: A Lethal Combination

fentanyl and spice

Recently, the Arizona DEA, Drug Enforcement Administration, discovered the first Spice lab that incorporates Fentanyl, is highly addictive and potentially lethal narcotic.

Spice, also known as synthetic marijuana, is a mix of shredded plant material and chemicals. This drug is illegal throughout the United States and is now considered a Class I drug. It originated in 2004 in the United Kingdom and results in similar symptoms as marijuana, including agitation, hallucinations, and even cardiac problems.

Fentanyl is a drug that is use to prevent pain after a medical procedure. Common side effects include vomiting, dizziness, and slow heart rate. When combined with other drugs, Fentanyl is dangerous and possibly deadly.

As a result of the conception of this illegal combination in Phoenix, four individuals arrested thus far. Government officials have warned consumers about the mixture of Spice and Fentanyl. And they are taking preventative measures to fight the dilemma.
