ounded in 1989, Valley Toyota Dealers consists of 10 Toyota dealers in the metropolitan Phoenix area,
including AutoNation Toyota Tempe, Avondale, Bell Road, Big Two, Camelback, Earnhardt, Larry Miller,
Right, Riverview and Toyota of Surprise.
To say the dealers—and all the people who work for them—know a thing or two about cars is an
understatement. All 10 dealerships are committed to providing their customers with the utmost
expertise, knowledge and customer service available in the industry today.
But beyond the shiny new cars, the sparkling showrooms and the service centers that run like a well-oiled
machine is a true sense of community.
“Seven years ago, when I became president of the Valley Toyota Dealers for the second time, I wanted to
focus our attention on making an impact in the community,” says John O’Malley. “Thanks to Toyota, we’re able
to reach out through sponsorships and volunteer efforts, especially those that benefit children and families, and
our country’s veterans.”
Over the past seven years, the association has worked with such organizations as Phoenix Children’s Hospital
(to which it has donated more than $1 million), Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, 9/11 Healing Field Memorial,
Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Barrios Bellos (a neighborhood clean-up project in partnership with
Chicanos Por La Causa), and most recently, MASK (Mothers Awareness on School-age Kids).
“As a parent of three grown children and grandparent to five grandchildren, I understand and relate to families
dealing with issues kids are facing today,” O’Malley says. “The advice I’ve always followed—and shared with
friends and other parents—is to always stay true to the family. MASK is dedicated to children and families, and
we support their mission of engaging, educating and empowering them.”
