For as long as she can recall, Tina Greggo
has been passionate about photography.
Through the years, her passion has led her
to further her education in photography
and to start a career doing what she loves.
Having photographed for local newspapers
in New York and then in Arizona, where
she became a staff photographer for
The
Arizona Republic
, she keeps close to her
true talent. Tina says she was thrilled to
have had the opportunity to work with
MASK on such an important subject—one,
that as a mom, is so close to her heart.
A former reporter with
The Arizona
Republic
, Carol Sowers is now focused on
being a full-time grandmother to her five
grandchildren, ages 4 to 15. Recalling her
elementary school days, she remembers a
group of children migrant workers who were
teased and tormented by their classmates.
“I’ve spoken about bullying with my
grandchildren, using these sad stories as
examples,” Carol says. “I’ve asked them how
they would arm themselves against a bully
and they had a simple solution. ‘We would
walk away,’ they said. ‘Bullies hate that.’”
Gremlyn Bradley-Waddell is a freelance
writer whose work appears in several
Valley magazines. A mother of three, the
former newspaper reporter has long been
interested in topics affecting children and
welcomed the opportunity to write about
bullying. “It’s a big problem, but there are
solutions,” she says. “One of the best ones is
to simply talk with your kids. Be subtle, but
find out what’s happening in their lives. We
can help stop bullying in its tracks.”
A career first-responder, Don Crews
has extensive experience in trauma
and emergency situations. As business
development manager for PHI Medical
Inc., he is responsible for marketing and
developing the long-range aircraft medical
transport division of the company. Don is
also the father of two teenage sons and a
board member of MASK, for which he is
an active participant and presenter in the
organization’s Trauma Drill program.
